If you thought a friend has aspergers/PDD-NOS/autism would you tell them..?

if you thought it would help the person?

why and why not

thanksIf you thought a friend has aspergers/PDD-NOS/autism would you tell them..?
I would not tell them directly, but I'd probably make sure they'd get information about those disorders somehow so that they could find out by themselves without feeling like someone else is judging them. That would also be a way to avoid them getting defensive. I think it's good to leave the information somewhere for them to see or to talk about it casually without letting them know you think they have it. It's good to give them space and let them come to terms with it at their own pace.If you thought a friend has aspergers/PDD-NOS/autism would you tell them..?
Unless you are a doctor, no. If the friend asks for your opinion, yes.If you thought a friend has aspergers/PDD-NOS/autism would you tell them..?
I think if they're old enough to be told, they probably would have been diagnosed by now, so I probably wouldn't say anything. They might get really offended. If they're young, I might consider telling their parents.
Hey,

I know a few people with autism and one person with aspergers and honestly no i don't think you should, if you thought it would help them you could tell their parent/s but when someone has autism or aspergers they react to things differently, depending on the level of the disorder they could be violent or get very upset. I used to know a little boy with autism and if you mentioned it in front of him he was very violent, autistic people do tend to be violent whereas people with aspergers tend to be more emotional. Also you need to be pretty sure that they have it before you suggest it because it could offend people, i will give you some links to help you decide and also put my experiences in. A girl in my glass has aspergers she is very bright, as most autistic/aspergers people are but she takes things very literal.. if you say it's raining cats and dogs she would think cats and dogs are literally falling from the sky, this is a classical symptom of aspergers. With autism people tend to be violent (though not always the case) and don't express their feelings very well, this is key between the two disorders because people with aspergers have no problem expressing themselves but autistic people do especially when it comes too expressing love. Here's the links...
