Does anybody have any children that deal with PDD-NOS (part of the autisim spectrum). If so any suggestions? ?

My son has PDD-NOS and by changing his diet we have noticed great changes with his speech but still are having issues with behavior and eating. Does anybody have any children that deal with PDD-NOS (part of the autisim spectrum). If so any suggestions? ?
MY son is almost 13 and has PDD-NOS. we have not tried any dietary changes as he is a picky eater. I would try having him see a psychiatrist who specializes in ASD. there may be med s that you want to try that would help quite a bit. My son is on Risperdal for his anger issues, Tenex for his tics, and Vyvanse for his ADHD.Does anybody have any children that deal with PDD-NOS (part of the autisim spectrum). No experience myself, but my friend eliminated gluten from her son's diet and noticed a huge difference. He tested positive for celiac (sp?).

Early intervention is your best bet. Make sure you are taking advantage of all services offered by your state/school. Create a solid routine for your son so that his day is predictable and consistent. Your son can have a normal life if you continue to work with him while he is young!
