Question on ABA therapy?

i have a 2 year old little boy the is mild autistic...maybe even pdd-nos. we looked at a school for aba therapy and the kids we saw there where alot more autistic then our son.... we really like the school, but my husbands family is worried the him not being as severe and the other being moe autisic that he will pick up a lot of bad things for the other kids...should we be worried or notQuestion on ABA therapy?
One problem with autism is that they do not necessarily imitate others, although they are echo teachers they do not imitate others. In which case I doubt that you child will imitate others much less even notice their presence. You might find a benefit in having your child there till you feel it necessary to move them to like a Special Day class or a functional skills class. I think that if you really like the school then maybe you should try it out for a little bit and you might find that your child does benefit from it.Question on ABA therapy?
not all children with autism need or benefit from ABA--

it is possible that he will imitate the other kids--

he really needs to be some place where there are more 'peers'--other kids with no disabilities or mild autism--in addition to the severe needs--

its okayto have some kids with severe needs in the class--but if he is way above the others--that may be detrimental

can you have in home ABA provided by Early Intervention--combined with a community mainstream preschool (with an aide from Early Intervention providing services there to integrate him

Good ABA combines discrete trial, natural environment teaching an dincidental learning (floor time) as well as other techniquis--not just discrte trial
