My child was diagnosed with PDD-NOS I asked the Dr on a scale on 0 being?

non autistic to 10 being severley autistic she said he 'd be a 2 .My wife is a little upset but we are both happy that he was finally diagnosed and we can get him all the support he needs in school and at home.





Here however is my question , the doctor seemed to indicate to us that PDD-NOS wasn't quite as bad as Aspergers syndrome but I have read some sites on the subject and some say Aspergers is worse than PDD_NOS and others say PDD-NOS is more severe than Aspergers , can someone help me out with this oneMy child was diagnosed with PDD-NOS I asked the Dr on a scale on 0 being?
They both vary in presentation, so there would be no simple "ranking".



I have known individuals with PDD-NOS have their diagnosis modified to Asperger's later, especially if the first diagnosis was obtained at a very young age.

i think aspergers is worse than pdd nos. but that is just from what i have read and been told personally. ask your sons dr for more information
