How to Potty Train for # 2?

I have a 5 year old boy who was diagnosed with Autism (PDD-NOS). He can pee in the toilet just fine, but he asks for a diaper when he was to go # 2. I try to sit him on the toilet but he says "no, get me my diaper!" and he refuses to do it in the toilet. Any ideas/advice on how to get him to go to the potty for number two? BTW-he won't soil himself, he'll just hold it until we gets his diaper. Thanks! How to Potty Train for # 2?
Does he like money, certain candy, stickers, or something like that you could bribe him with? You could also reward him with going to the park, spending time with you, playing his favorite game or baking with you. Try to use what he is most interested in. Also I know with my son who has the same diagnosis, it helped to let him feel like he was in control of things. I took him to the store to pick out some underwear. I tried to make potty training fun. This could even include making a huge deal out of him going. Sing songs, do a funny dance, call your family that might live far away. How to Potty Train for # 2?
This is actually not too uncommon, lots of kids have that problem during potty training.

You should try to show him that doing it in the toilet is better. Convince him that using diapers is dirty, and he's too old for that. It's probably going to take a little while, don't give up.How to Potty Train for # 2?
You are should be firm with him. I know he has a problem but he understands and he needs to use the potty.
