My psychologist wants me to get tested for autism?

My psychologist told me that she wants me to get tested for a form of autism (pdd-nos). I think that I'm going to, but what I was wondering is: How do they test you? What sort of questions do they ask? How long does it take? Etc!

Thanks in advance xMy psychologist wants me to get tested for autism?
There are many different levels of autism. And I was also curious of your age. Check this site out it may help answer some questions. My sister is a advocate in our state for autistic children in our school systems. To make sure they get the right help. And she is the most educated person I know on the subject. Her son is 12 and suffers from autism. check out the sight below and email me if you like. tin_knocker_24@yahoo.comMy psychologist wants me to get tested for autism?
Don't worry about it. It will be pain-free not a test or anything like that. Basically they want to know how you react to things, just your natural response. You might, for example be noise sensitive, or light sensitive, how comfortable are you in certain scenarios etc. Your psychologist is doing what is best for you. Like going to any Doctor you have to trust them, there is a method they follow to eliminate things. For example, if you go to the doc for a persistent headache and you know from experience that one nonaddictive medication really works, often they won't write you up a prescription until they have found out the source of the headache, which can be a number of serious internal issues. It is frustrating and scary to go through the tests, but just release the tensions and focus on more interesting things like a good book or a movie.
