Should I put my son in a social skills class or in ABA?

My 3 year old has PDD-NOS. He is verbal, knows his numbers, letters, colors, etc. I cant decide if I should put him in a ABA class for about 4 hours a week (thats all I can afford) or a social skills class. I can only choose only one class because that is all I can afford. What would be most beneficial for him? thanksShould I put my son in a social skills class or in ABA?
heres a site that may help I believe I have this. , and am on ADD medication. =] i am currently 16yrs old and it may be a good idea to try some options. I am not sure what ABA is. I believe it would help him and your family to understand what he has. and how to deal with it. :) i hope this helpedShould I put my son in a social skills class or in ABA?
I would start with ABA.

I am not sure what type of a public school system your area has. They have preschool play group integrated in our school system.

Once you get into a public school preschool, the services are available to him for free. (occupational therapy and etc.)Should I put my son in a social skills class or in ABA?
It really depends on what your son is like. Does he act out in any way? ABA will focus on behaviour modification while a social skills class is for a child that does not have the behaviour issues and focuses on integrating your child into society and learning the necessary social skills.

I think that if he does not have any behavioural issues it is best to send him to the social skills class since he will get nothing out of ABA.
we can't tell. we don't have enough details

in teh US at 3, he shoudl be getting at least a 1/2 day--if not a full day of school (4-5 days/week) throguh your local public school. this may sometimes include a home program.

good ABA includes incidental learning and natural environment teaching, not just discrete trial

good ABA include social skills

also, have you looked to see if he qualifies for SSI (if your family is under the income limit)

are you registered with teh division of developmetnal disabilities--someti9mes they have grants
