I usually recommend a child tent, especially for children children with SID. It provides them with a nice 'womb space' which helps them sleep better and helps them organize themselves. Often times children (and adults) who are strong oral sensory seekers need the oral input to organize their body and minds, therefore providing a 'night time chewy' to replace the bedrails would be very beneficial to your child. Talk to your occupational therapist about what type of 'chewy' would be best.Types of beds for kids with sensory integration dysfunction who need to transtion from crib to bed?
