Hi.
There are many times when people feel embarrassed but some may deal with it better or the feeling goes away quicker than with others.
With me it's when I say or do something and just afterwards think "oh no that didn't actually fit in"- or "that's not what it was actually about." -For example if I join two people who are already in a conversation with each other- I may not fully undersatnd what they are talking about after listening for a minute or two and ask a question that is totally off-subject.
This is one example of many where I may do or say something that isn't appropriate for the situation at hand.
Now I have a good excuse- I have PDD-NOS, an autistic spectrum disorder which means I can't do much about the "inappropriate behaviour". But what can I do about the embarrassment that follows?Dealing with embarrassment?
if people know about your disorder they will understand, so you shouldn't be embarrassed. if they dont you can explain it or (because they dont know you) forget about what they think you shouldn't be embarassed for something out of your control.xxxDealing with embarrassment?
Take it with a grain of salt miss. The best thing to say is fukem.Dealing with embarrassment?
Just tell them it was a quiz. or your taking a survey. Give an off the cuff answer and laugh it away.
