Do you have Aspergers all your life and what's the difference
between PDD-NOS and Aspergers and can they develop
Telekinetic powersDo people with Aspergers syndrome grow out of the disorder.?
I do not have Aspergers but I am Autistic and ADHD.
Aspargers is one form of Autism as well as PDD-NOS. PDD-NOS is like a miscellaneous description when someone does not fit anywhere else on the Autism spectrum.
It is not possible to get those types of 'powers' from being Autistic or Aspergers.
Do you have Aspergers all your life? YES but you can learn to manage it so it does not affect your life so much
and what's the difference between PDD-NOS and Aspergers?
PDD is where you have some symptoms of Autism, and some of Aspergers but also some other symptoms that dont fit anywhere. So they give you a very GENERAL diagnosis. Aspergers is a specific diagnosis for a specific set of symptoms
and can they develop Telekinetic powers? HECK NO.Do people with Aspergers syndrome grow out of the disorder.?
Wow, that's a lot of information your asking for in one short question. Let's start with the one you did not ask. To be diagnosed "on the spectrum" you need to have chalenges in three areas: Social Interaction, repetative or stereotyped Behavior, and Communication.
PDD NOS stands for Pervasive Developmental Delays- Not otherwise Specified. An individual with PDD can appear and behave in quite typical ways or have very dramatic delays in their functions of daily living.
Aspergers- Aspergers is often discussed as high functioning Autism. Aspies tend to be of average to very superior intellect, and can seem just a little (or dramaticly) "ecentric."
Many individuals on the spectrum are able to learn compension skills. In the case of Aspergers, if an individual is very bright, learns to manage their sensory diet, and compensate for the skills they may not have learned as a young child they can lead very functional lives. Some have suggested that Albert Einstein and Bill Gates evidence symptoms of Aspergers.
There is a great deal of research into the possibility of whether or not someone can "move off the spectrum." In particular there are individuals formally diagnosed with Aspergers who no longer seem to meet the standard of a DSM Autism Spectrum diagnosis.
Telekinetic Powers? I'm sure if this is possible there is a department of defense grant out there for anyone who can prove it!
I do think that people who are not neurotypical are more likely to develop extra sensory perception, so I do feel those that are PDD.NOS or asperger's are more likely than NT's to develop heightened senses, though maybe not anymore than others who are also not neurotypical.
People with asperger's have it there whole lives. Though for short periods of time they are able to pass for neurotypical in situations. This is after alot of work and understanding of the aspie on developing interpersonal social skills. Anyone though that spends a lot of time with an asperger individual will notice subtle differences.
PDD.NOS is features of an autistic spectrum disorder, so they have less impairments in social skills, and have an easier time in the social arena.
I am asperger's and have seen auras my whole life. I remember talking about this very young, and it scared the crap out of my mom, so I learned very early not to talk about it. I remember being 3, and asking why the cat had a blue cloud all around his body. It is particularly helpful identifying when I am about to be ill because the aura will be very thin in spots, and will be different around the area of illness. This is helpful for my husband too, who also sees auras. In everyday life, it is a nice heads up to see that someone has an aura that is gray around their head, usually a sign of instability or mental illness. It can help in nursing too, though at work we just refer to it as intuition.
Telekinesis, or moving things with your mind, I have never done, neither has my husband.
We both answer the phone before it rings, finish each others sentence, and are usually able to predict car accidents and avoid them.Do people with Aspergers syndrome grow out of the disorder.?
no more likely to develop telekinetic powers tahn anyone else...
some people on the autism spectrun do seem to have a 6th sense-amazing intuition-
ie-a 10 year old used to ask about my cat all the time--when my cat was dying-he started to ask-noticed my discomfort and stopped-never mentioning it again--i had prepared for that moment and didn't think there was anythig noticeable in my reaction......
PDD is a lesser form of autism--there are still difficulties ina variety of areas--
Aspergers is mainly difficulties in the social area
its not that people grow out of autism/pdd/aspergers--they learn to compensate--just like a diabetic can appear healthy-they just learn to deal with it
People with Aspergers do improve, mostly through experience
