Is there anyone with a child in a PPCD class ?!?

My son hasn't been officially diagnosed with PDD-NOS and his speech therapist recommended that I enroll him in a PPCD class. If there is anyone out there that can tell me if or how their child benefited from it I would greatly appreciate it !!Is there anyone with a child in a PPCD class ?!?
Hello,

I am the mother of a child with PDD-NOS. It took 15 years to get the correct diagnosis for our child. Finally, she is getting the help she needs. I know how much, as parents, we struggle with branding our children with a disability. I wonder what you mean by officially? Your child needs to be evaluated by a behavioral psychologist and diagnosed with the disability in order for him to get all the help he legally is entitled to in the public system and even after he turns 18 (health insurance once you can no longer cover him). You need to do all you can immediately to give him as much support as possible. PPCD will help him develop skills that a regular preschool would expect him to already have. They will be more sensitive to his need to be alone and will be able to handle his "quirks" and his moods. You should enroll him, and begin the process for evaluation. Best of luck!
